Horizon Multiple Reflection ATR Accessory
. The Horizon™ multiple reflection ATR accessory is well suited for analysis of liquids, pastes, powders, and thick films by infrared spectroscopy. Its unique design utilizes the astigmatism inherent in spherical mirrors to shape the FT-IR beam to match the aperture of the ATR crystal, keeping radiation away from the edges of the crystal. This eliminates spectral interference from the adhesive securing the crystal and results in higher throughput. The Horizon™ features a convenient horizontal sampling surface (HATR) and PermaPurge™ for rapid sample and crystal exchange without interrupting the purge of the FT-IR system. The Horizon™ is perfect for quality control and research applications. Optional cells are available for flow and temperature-controlled applications.

Horizon Tempearture Controlled Flow Cells Option
. These flow through liquid cell adapters attached to Horizon sampling plates. They are ideal for examining liquids under sealed, flow, and temperature-regulated applications. Interactions of gases with coatings on the crystals can also be studied with the appropriate adapter. All flow cells are made from chemically resistant 316 stainless steel. Several configuratons of these adapters are offered. Temperature controlled models are operable from -10ºC to 190ºC. The temperature is either regulated using a recirculating chiller or heated using a suitable temperature controller and the built-in heaters. These adapters are equipped with either Luer fittings or Swagelok fittings. The solid plate adapters have an approximate volume of 0.14 ml and use an 027 o-ring to seal directly to the ATR crystal. The trough adapters have an approximate volume of 2.89 ml and use an 032 o-ring to seal to the trough.
